A few hours ago, I popped out the S-pen and try to write something. As soon as the pen touches the surface, the tip of the pen broke off. Not the entire nib, but just the tip (the round end). Now the smaller, harder plastic tip is exposed.
The thing is... it now feels much better to draw or write something. Gone is the unpleasant feeling that you feel when you scratch a glass surface with a rubber. It feels smoother, because the resistance is gone.
Then I thought, the tip must be there for some reason... shouldn't it scratch the glass surface? So, I wrote some texts and examined the surface with a flashlight. As far as I can see, there was no scratch. I think the Gorilla glass should not be scratched by plastic, no matter how sharp the plastic is. I am not sure; it might create really fine scratches if I draw very much, but this tablet is already 2 years old and the resale value is already low, so I think I have little to lose.
